Did you know that Sunday, February 23, is the 4th Annual World Yoga Day?
On this day, people from all around the world will be practicing, promoting, and trying out yoga simultaneously.
The Westfield Area Y, at 220 Clark Street invites the community and surrounding areas to join a variety of yoga sessions offered that day from 3:30 – 6:00 PM. And get this . . . you do not even have to be a Westfield resident or a Y member to attend this event! A suggested $25 contribution from interested participants will help raise funds for the Strong Kids Campaign, which provides direct financial assistance to enable individuals in need who live or work in Westfield, Cranford, Garwood, or Mountainside to participate at the Y.
And it doesn’t matter if you are a flexible yoga expert, or someone who has never even tried it before. This is an experience designed to appeal to everyone, so you can choose the session that is right for you. It’s the perfect opportunity for those who have always thought about trying out yoga, or who have been curious, but have also been hesitant. It’s a lot easier to try something new and unfamiliar when you know people around the entire world are trying it out WITH you!
