Cranford Westfield and Surrounding Area Pools and Swim Clubs

 

It’s summer.  It’s hot.  Uncomfortably, sticky hot.  Need a local place to cool off?  Fortunately, there’s quite a number of pools to choose from in our area.  All of them are beautiful and well kept, with lovely surrounding grounds.  Many offer other amenities, such as classes, activities, food concessions, picnic areas, fitness areas, and tennis. It is also important to note that most pools and swim clubs limit the number of memberships available, in order to avoid overcrowding.  So, if you are thinking about joining one of these local treasures and taking advantage of a “stay-cation,” be sure to do so soon.  Take a moment to peruse the list and utilize the provided links to get an idea of which one might be best for you.

CRANFORD

Cranford Township offers two public pools, with memberships for residents and non-residents. Orange Avenue Pool is located on the north side of town at 1025 Orange Ave., and Centennial Avenue Pool, which also offers an indoor pool and fitness center,  on the south side of town at  401 Centennial Ave. Cranford Town Pools Website

WESTFIELD

Memorial Pool, at  713 Cumberland St., is the public pool, with membership available to residents and non-residents.Westfield Memorial Pool

SCOTCH PLAINS

 

There are two private swim clubs available in Scotch Plains.  Willow Grove Swim Club is located on Evelyn Street,  Willow Grove Swim Club Website, and Highland Swimming Club is just off of South Martine Avenue. Highland Swim Club Website

 

CLARK

 

The public Clark Community Pool, located at 201 Oak Ridge Road, also offers memberships to residents and non-residents. Clark Community Pool Website

As you can see, there is no shortage of places to swim and relax in the surrounding area!  Costs, facilities, amenities, and ambiance differ greatly from one to another, so be sure to research and review them all before “taking the plunge!”
