Not in holiday mode yet? Feeling overwhelmed at the thought of dragging the Christmas tree in from the basement or garage, and nauseous at the idea of cleaning, decorating, and preparing your home for the upcoming holiday season? Well, put that task on the shelf for a while, (that annoying little shelf elf will guard it for you), and go enjoy someone ELSE’S decorating handiwork for a bit, courtesy of the Cranford Junior Woman’s Club Annual Cranford NJ Home for the Holidays House Tour. This year’s House Tour is scheduled for Sunday, December 2nd, starting at noon and ending at 4:00 PM.
Enjoy some carefree Christmas for a change, while touring several beautifully decorated homes, and even a church. Bring some friends and family, (no children under 12 please), put on some comfy walking shoes, and enjoy some holiday beauty. Who knows? You may even get some decorating ideas to put to use in your own home. The Hospitality House will also be open during the tour for light refreshments. Advance tickets are $25, and can be purchased at Augusta Mae Boutique, Back to Nature, Periwinkles, The UPS Store and the Library. $30 tickets will also be available at the door on the 2nd. All proceeds from the Cranford NJ Home For The Holiday Tour will benefit Project Home of Cranford.
You’ll be helping neighbors in need via this fundraising event. Since 1988, Project Home has been assistingCranfordfamilies who are in danger of losing their homes or apartments due to crisis situations, such as job loss or catastrophic illness. All of their fundraising dollars are distributed by Cranford Family Care, which screens and qualifies Cranford residents for assistance, so they can remain in the community.
So help out those who need it most this season, and, if you so choose, procrastinate the decorating of your own home in order to enjoy this fun-filled, festive day! It’s a great way to jump-start your holiday season!
