Aren’t movies a great way to entertain the family? With one exception – the cost of tickets and snacks is enough to put you in a lower tax bracket. Wouldn’t it be nice to enjoy a simple movie with the family without bringing poverty upon your household? Well, on Friday, September 20th, at 6:30 PM, (or dusk), at the Elm Street Field across from Stop&Shop in Westfield, you can do just that.
The Westfield Area YMCA, in partnership with Spencer Savings Bank, continues to celebrate their 90th anniversary with a free family movie night. Bring your picnic blanket, bring some snacks and drinks for the family, bring some insect spray, and bring some blankets . . . . it pays to be prepared for any weather situation. Above all, bring the kids, and enjoy an outdoor presentation of Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax.” In addition, there will be a free gift for the first 500 families that show up. And you can’t beat the sets – an equal view of the movie and the stars.
Check out the other events offered by the Westfield Area Y on their website at WestfieldYNJ . It’s a great organization that offers a wonderful array of services and programs for the whole family. A free family movie night under the stars is just the tip of the iceberg!
