Vintage Jewelry Show At Hanson House
Finally, an event that reaches out to the hidden history nerd AND the diva in all of us!
On Sunday, April 7th, from 2:15-4:00 PM, The Cranford Historical Society will present a “Vintage Costume Jewelry Show” at The Hanson House, located at 38 Springfield Avenue in Cranford. Jewelry expert, author, lecturer, and experienced collector Joyce Simmons will be presenting. Joyce normally exhibits and presents at The Hamburg Antique Center in Hamburg, NJ, and writes jewelry articles which appear in numerous antique magazines and publications. In addition to exhibiting some very interesting pieces, she will point out jewelry’s place in history, and discuss topics such as how and where it was made, who wore it and when, how to care for it, and why to collect it. As part of her presentation here in Cranford, Joyce will offer an additional service for a small fee. Audience members are invited to bring n a jewelry item for Joyce to examine and determine its vale and its history.
