Centennial Village, Indian Village, Cranford Gardens, Orchard Park, Lincoln Park . . . . such a list sounds like the variety of neighborhoods you’d expect to find in a large metropolis. But these are just some of the neighborhoods to be found in Cranford. Want to know a little bit more about them?
On Monday, April 29th, at 7:30 PM, the Cranford Public Library is offering a free presentation at the Cranford Community Center, located at 220 Walnut Avenue. Guest speaker Maureen Strazdon, who is the Chair of Cranford’s Historic Preservation Board, will talk about the various neighborhoods of Cranford. She will discuss how they came to be developed, who they were created by, their history, and the unique qualities each has to offer. This is particularly poignant when you consider the age, and therefore rich history, of so many of the homes and developments in Cranford. Who knows? You might even learn a little something about your own neck of the woods that you didn’t know before!
Cranford is a wonderful place to live and raise a family! And so many of the best qualities of the town are glaringly obvious. But wouldn’t it be fun to get a little unique insight into your home surroundings? Why not ring your neighbor’s doorbell and bring them along to this presentation?
