For many of us, our knowledge of The Marriage of Figaro is limited to the pieces of music featured in Bugs Bunny cartoons. Now we have an opportunity to broaden our horizons a little bit, without travelling a great distance or spending a lot of money to do so.
On Thursday, July 26th, at 7:30 PM, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Cranford, you can enjoy this live, one-hour adaptation of the play as performed by the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s Next Stage Ensemble. “The Marriage of Figaro” is a joyful, upbeat comedy about courtship, marriage and married life. As with all Shakespearian comedies, there is an intricate plot, hilarious characters, and gripping plot. Admission is free and all are welcome. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library and partially underwritten by the Trinity Episcopal Church of Cranford. If Bugs Bunny were here in Cranford, he’d be going!
Trinity Church is located at 119 Forest Ave, Cranford NJ 908-276-4047
