So, my avid reader fans, did everyone get in a lot of pleasure reading while stuck inside this winter? Heaven knows we have had enough of such time. And we may be running out of books!
Time to restock! At a next-to-nothing cost, while benefitting a town institution in the process.
The Friends of the Cranford Public Library are once again hosting a used book sale in the library’s Friendly Book Cellar. Items for sale include more than 10,000 adult and children’s books, as well as CDs, DVDs, and recorded books.
And here is the very best part . . . . . prices range from $.25 to $2.00, except for a few specially marked items. How can you beat that? Bring a few bucks and a bag, and fill ‘er up! In fact, if you are a “book bag” kind of person, check out “bag day,” when you can actually fill a bag with books for a fee of $8.00! Puh-leez . . . . you can’t even purchase ONE book for that money in a book store! Hours are: Wednesday, March 12th, 4 PM – 8:30 PM; Thursday, March 13th and Friday, March 14th, 10 AM – 4:30 PM; Saturday, (BAG DAY!!!!) 10 AM – 3:30 PM.
Entrance to the sale is through the side door of the library, (wheelchair accessible), just off the main parking lot, at 224 Walnut Avenue in Cranford. All proceeds directly benefit the library.
You get fresh books to read, spend very little on them, and the library gains funds. Everybody wins!!!!!
