The hardest working realtor in Cranford…

I am writing this letter to let you know of my recent experience with Sharon Steele, real estate agent. I came to know of Sharon through a co-worker of my sister, who is a teacher in Cranford. She was recommended as the “hardest working real estate agent in Cranford”…sounded good to me. I was even happier to find out she grew up in my native town of Staten Island and we had mutual acquaintances! I was not so excited about working with an agent at that time because I was looking for a rental and thought that I should easily be able to handle that on my own. I was wrong. After I called and left a message, Sharon quickly and unexpectedly returned my call, as it was a Saturday evening. Although not what she typically does, she readily agreed to help find a rental for me and my daughter. After living in the rental for a few months, I knew renting was not for us and I contacted Sharon once again to ask for her help to find us a home to coincide with the end of my lease. I have to tell you what a wonderful experience it was to work with Sharon. Right from the get go she made me feel comfortable and important. I did not have the highest budget to work with, yet she found the perfect home for me and my daughter within my budget. As you know buying a home is not an easy experience. Sharon walked me through the process with such ease and support and I am so thankful that I found her. She knew exactly what I was looking for and was not afraid to say, “I don’t think that’s what you’re looking for”, when I would inquire about a house that didn’t fit my needs. That being said, she would bring me to view any house that I requested and let me form my own opinion. She saved us both a lot of time and aggravation by distinguishing what I was looking for and knowing the market so well! She knew when time was of the essence and thank God, because I wouldn’t have gotten my house otherwise (we viewed it during one of the many snow storms last winter). Since I agreed to wait a few months to close on the home, there was a lot of down time after the contracts were signed, inspections were completed and the closing. Sharon consistently checked in to make sure I was doing o.k. She listened to me complain quite a bit during that time, although that is clearly not in her job description, and constantly reassured me that everything was going according to plan. Sharon was a hard worker, smart, professional, considerate, and my best support system over the past year during this process… And so full of resources!  She had multiple responses to my many requests of “can you recommend…”   Most of all Sharon was light-hearted and fun! That can make a big difference in this trying process! The last thing that I would like to share is that Sharon continues to check in…even a few weeks after the move and actually helped me resolve a problem that I had with my move. She is the definition of dedication. I would recommend (and have) Sharon Steele to anyone who is looking for a real estate agent to help them find the perfect home!
