To Whom It May Concern, It is without hesitation that I recommend Sharon Steele for your real estate needs. My husband and I purchased our first home together in Cranford in July of 2007. When our son arrived in December of 2012, we quickly realized it was time to move to a home that would better suit the needs of our expanded family. We worked with Sharon exclusively from January of 2014 until August of 2014 to both sell our current home and purchase a new one. Few real estate transactions go smoothly. My husband and I have closed nearly a dozen real estate transactions in the last decade (on primary and investment properties), so we expected some bumps along the way. However, both transactions had major hurdles that needed to be overcome. Throughout it all, Sharon maintained a positive and productive attitude – always focusing her energy on our main goals. She is clear and concise in her communications style, seemingly always available and practical in her sales and marketing approaches. We sold our home in less than a week for over asking price (with multiple offers to choose from).   I attribute that to Sharon correctly pricing our home as well as her expertise in helping us stage it to show off all of its best assets. Buying our next home took some time. We had very specific needs that quickly eliminated a good number of the homes on the market. Sharon however, never staggered in her belief that we would find our perfect home. She would quickly screen houses that she felt could be potential matches. Being working parents of a young child, this was extremely appreciated. Eventually, “our” perfect house did come on the Market. Sharon found it, saw it immediately and called me right away saying she thought this was the ‘one’. Once my husband and I saw it, we quickly agreed with Sharon’s assessment however, all of us agreed the home was considerably overpriced. Sharon worked with us to come up with an offer that was appropriate for us and the market and she coached us on how to be patient with the seller as they realized they were overpriced. Her strategy paid off, as weeks later the seller came down in price and accepted our (very appropriate) offer. However, having our offer accepted was just the start of the purchase process. There were more issues than any of us could have foreseen. Sharon was diligent in working with us, our lawyer and the sellers agents to dutifully work through the many (many) problems we encountered. Continuously, Sharon focused her efforts on what was in our best interests and helped us successfully close. I would say our sale and purchase processes were both above average difficult transactions.   My husband and I both feel lucky to have Sharon by our side throughout them both.   Her knowledge of real estate transactions, negotiation techniques and of the Cranford/Westfield area proved extremely valuable to us. It is a wealth of knowledge specific to the area we live in/around. The last six months has brought about many changes for my family. Sharon supported us through those changes and her patience and positive attitude helped us navigate them and end up where we belonged… in the house that we will call home for countless years to come.
