Nationally known silhouette artist, Clay Rice, will be at Periwinkle’s Fine Gifts, located at 19 North Union Avenue, on  Thursday, October 9^th, between the hours of 10:00 AM an 6:00 PM.  Rice is renowned as one of the finest silhouette artists in the country.  He will also be signing his award winning children’s books. A description of his work on Amazon.com states, “Intricately cut scenes of black, with blazing backgrounds of oranges and purples, invite close inspection and awe.”  As if that’s not enough, at 3:30 PM, he will also be playing his guitar and  giving a free performance of his stories and songs.  How cool is that?!

Rice has actually been appearing periodically at Periwinkle’s for over 20 years.  Periwinkles is the perfect venue for this artist, since it houses some of the most beautiful and extraordinary gift and household items imaginable.  It’s the perfect opportunity to visit with this remarkable man, and do a little shopping in a shop that drips with serenity and beauty.  Why not check it out?
