The Westfield Sidewalk Café season has all the allure and atmosphere of a premiere French-style dining experience, all along the downtown corridor that residents have grown to love. It’s practically a tourist trap due to the comfort, appeal, ease, and casual attitude of the businesses working together to promote this Sunday’s landmark opening of the season.

With promises of music flooding the street, and lots of space for patrons to relax their feet while enjoying exquisite food, the Westfield Sidewalk Café season is already an appreciated success. April 1st is the official start of the outdoor dining season, which means that local businesses are gearing up for the influx of new customers.

But this isn’t your ordinary collection of smaller restaurants working to provide a cozy ambience. Asian Fusion, one of the participants, will offer up a blending of Chinese, Korean, Thai, and Japanese dishes. They’re sure to stand out amongst the other participants, and even though they’re barely a month old, Asian Fusion has already had an impact on downtown Westfield.

It would be hard to have a café scenario in this part of the country without a little pizza in the mix somewhere! So, it’s no surprise that Casa di Pizza has also joined the café season with traditional and contemporary Italian offerings. Grab a slice and see what all the buzz is about.  After all, they did just win the title of Best Pizza in Westfield!

This family owned bakery has pastries, cakes, pies, cookies, biscotti (which goes perfect with a hot cup of coffee!), and much more to satiate your swelling appetite. And when the weather gets really hot, as it surely will soon, refresh yourself with their soft-serve ice cream and gelato.

Sub shops, bistros, coffee houses, steak houses, and everything in between will be joining in on the open air fun of the café season. Grab a friend, plan to do a little window shopping, and sample some of the best food and drinks you’ll ever sample in your life.
