Rutgers Basketball Student Appreciation Day Forms at Cranford Library
There is, perhaps, nothing more satisfying than a win-win situation.
Proving, yet again, that the public library is EVER so much more than just a large shelving system for books, there is an opportunity for parents to be heroes to their kids, AND to provide incentive to get their kids to read.
On Friday, December 28th, Rutgers University will be hosting a home basketball game against Rider University. The game is at 7:30 PM at the RAC in New Brunswick. Free tickets to this game will be available for all children through grade 8 who have read any one book. That’s right . . . ONE book. Parent tickets are also available at a discounted rate of $15 each, making this a very affordable and fun evening out with the family. Forms for this offer are available at the Children’s Department of the Cranford Public Library, and the deadline to turn them in is Saturday, December 15th.
So, let’s see . . . . getting the kids to read, free and discounted tickets to a sporting event, children worshiping you as heroes . . . . . it’s all good! Why not take advantage? Visit the Children’s Room at the library, or call Rosemary Chodack at 908-709-7272 Ext. 2103 for more information.
