Relay For Life Fundraising Banquet at the Cranford NJ VFW 3/7/14

Need a break from cooking for the family?  Want something to do with the whole family that will get them OUT of the house this winter?  I’ve got just the thing!

Relay for Life team, Once Upon a Cure, is sponsoring a fund raising family banquet on Friday, March 7th at 5:00 PM, at the Cranford VFW located at 479 South Avenue East.   The banquet will feature dinner, live music, and a basket give-away, and is appropriate for all ages.  This is a great way for families to come together and show their support for a great cause. All proceeds raised from the event will go to the American Cancer Society.

Relay for Life is a cancer-awareness event that teams like Once Upon a Cure fundraise for all year. The annual overnight event will take place on May 16th at Orange Avenue School.  Prior to that date, however, teams will spend months trying to raise money and awareness for the fight against cancer.  At the relay itself, teams basically tag and relay each other to walk a constant course . . . some rest, while others walk, and vice versa.
