ArteVino
Bored of the same old same old? Book club going stale? Looking for something fun and exciting to do on your next date night, or girls’ night out? Well, here’s a unique and fun idea! Why not create some art?
ArteVino, an art studio that allows people to create their own masterpieces, has recently opened its doors at 102 North Union Avenue in Cranford. c (The original location still exists in Hoboken.) Maggie Allen, chief artist and manager, holds an art degree from Pace, and she instructs the classes as well as creating original paintings for the students to reproduce.
What’s that? You have no artistic experience? You have trouble with stick figures? No problem! Absolutely no previous experience or talent is required! That’s what makes this so much fun! The instructors will go through each painting step by step, and all students will leave the class with a finished painting. The classes run from 2-3 hours, depending on the complexity of the painting, and students can choose from classes that reproduce famous paintings, such as Van Gogh’s Starry Night or Monet’s Water Lilies, or classes that focus on original paintings created by the studio’s instructors, some of which even focus on Cranford landmarks.
The studio, which can fit up to 40 people per class, hosts a variety of events, including birthday parties, bachelorette parties, clubs, , groups of friends, and corporate events. The classes are held Thursday through Sunday evenings, and there is also a brunch class held on Sundays. And to make the experience even better, ArteVino is BYOB, so people can bring beverages to enjoy while painting, (that way, if your painting doesn’t come out the way you’ like, you can always blame the wine), and the studio also has a kitchen area so customers can also bring in food.
How much fun is that?! You can check out the calendar of upcoming classes at artevinostudio.com to choose which class is the best fit for you, and to book a spot. You can also check them out at Facebook.com/ArteVinoCranford .
