PUT DOWN THAT EGGNOG! And that wine. And that spiced rum. Well . . . . . OK. You can have one or two. But isn’t it nice to know that there will be a healthier alternative?
Sisters Deven Burgio and Lauren Miller will be opening Fresh Press Juice Co. in Cranford this Spring. Their plan is to offer all organic, dairy free, vegan items, including fresh cold press juices, juice cleanses, salads, smoothies, muffins, and frozen treats. The sisters come by this business honestly, as they grew up on a horse farm in Vineland, New Jersey, and were basically surrounded by farmers and fresh produce. The organic, whole food lifestyle was one that they grew up with, but found lacking everywhere else.
The sisters started juicing several years ago, while Miller was working as a Special Education teacher in Delaware. She recently left teaching and moved to Westfield to pair up with her sister, and they decided to open their new business at 105 South Avenue East in downtown Cranford, an area they ultimately fell in love with, and found welcoming and accommodating.
They are anticipating a January opening date for their new business venture, Fresh Press Juice Co. But you won’t have to wait that long to try out their wares! The business will be providing free samples at Alluem Yoga’s Holiday Market on Dec. 7th. So come on out and give it a try. That would be a whole lot better than another glass of eggnog, don’t ya think?
