Those who have visions of all of New Jersey being an overcrowded, urban, densely constructed corner of the world have clearly never actually VISITED most of New Jersey.  And beautifully manicured, sprawling, green golf courses are also probably NOT what those folks envision when they think of our home state.  But here in the Cranford/Westfield area alone, there is a shockingly high number of courses to choose from for the golf enthusiast.  9-hole courses, 18-hole courses, miniature golf option courses . . . . . . country clubs that can offer the most beautiful of settings for dream weddings or parties . . . . . facilities that offer lessons and outing venues . . . . the list goes on and on.  There are private courses, public course, and municipal courses.  And many of these courses are renowned, award-winning golf courses.  The lengthy list below, believe it or not, represents only those golf courses that are within about 5 miles of the Cranford/Westfield area.  Think about that . . . . all of these courses are WITHIN 5 MILES of home!  For those willing to travel even a little bit farther, the list grows astronomically.  Attached to each listing is the most basic of information, but the web link for each course offers a great deal of information and pictures about each facility.
