It just wouldn’t be the holiday season without some seriously over-the-top decorations. Our family has always loved driving around town in search of the grandest, most outrageous and beautiful holiday light displays. Here’s a list of five festive holiday homes in Cranford and Westfield. Five festive holiday homes in Cranford and Westfield

E. Broad St. near Wychwood Rd., Westfield

A festive family surely lives here, because the house and yard are chock full of colored lights and blinking yard ornaments, including a lighted wagon filled with glittering presents.

E. Dudley Ave. near Elm St., Westfield

As if the old yellow dutch colonial on this block weren’t beautiful enough, at Christmastime it’s festooned with garlands, trees, and tasteful holiday swag, plus thousands of lights.

Munsee Dr. near Samoset Rd., Cranford

People, you’ve simply got to drive by this block to see the biggest light display in town–this festive holiday home in Cranford house has so many lights and unique lawn ornaments, it actually illuminates the whole block. My family has nicknamed it “Must-see Munsee!” 

Elm St. near Edgebrook Pl., Cranford

This one is an old-school delight with the entire front lawn filled with dozens and dozens of plastic lighted figures, the kind your dear sweet grandmother probably used to have.

John St, Cranford and North Ave near John St

The residents of this neighborhood sure know how to work together! Nearly every tree on John St is wrapped in beautiful lights, and the homes are decorated to the nines! And around the corner on North Ave is a house that is sure to be a favorite among the kiddies, this spot has oodles of rarely seen supersized inflatables, including a cheerful Ferris wheel.
