Easter Egg Hunt In Mindowaskin Park
It may not feel like Spring, but the Easter bunny is clad in fur, so the cold doesn’t slow him down a bit!
The Lions Club of Westfield will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 30th, in the playground of the very beautiful Mindowaskin Park in Westfield. The Easter Bunny will hop in at noon, rain or shine, and will be available for photos before and after the hunt. Parents are asked to bring their own cameras. Children up to the age of seven are welcome to participate, and the event will be divided into age categories . . . toddler to age 3, 4 and 5 year olds, and 6 and 7 year olds. All egg hunters and their parents are asked to gather in the park by 12:45. And don’t be late . . . . the egg hunt is usually pretty speedy, thanks to those eager Easterers!
And lest you think these kids are falling over themselves for some stale jelly beans and Peeps, some of the 1,200 plastic eggs that will be hidden near the gazebo will hold prize coupons for treats donated by town merchants that can be cashed in at a table in the park. There will also be coupons for treats at Baron’s, Bovella’s, Brummer’s, Buona Pizza and Philly Pretzels, which must be redeemed at those specific locations. At the conclusion of the hunt, complimentary bags of gourmet jellybeans will be given to all participants. Everybody walks away a winner!
Donations are welcome to help defray the costs of the egg hunt, but are strictly voluntary. Containers will be visibly placed in the park for those wishing to contribute.
So “get your Easter on,” and head out to this very “eggs-citing” event! (I know. Sorry for the bad yolk.)
