The Sound Of Music at HAS
What better musical to choose for the Spring production than one that is celebrating it’s 50-year anniversary!
The middle school students of Hillside Avenue School have been working hard on their version of The Sound of Music, which is set to take stage this weekend. Cranford middle school productions always come off as mini-Broadway productions. From sets, to costumes, to lighting, no detail is spared, and the shows are always a huge hit. There’s no denying, of course, that being involved in these plays is a wonderful experience for the kids, but these plays are overwhelmingly enjoyable for the audience, as well. Directed by veteran director Kathy Gordon, wth Megan Nord as set director, the performers, technicians, and stage crew are all staffed by students.
Performances are on Friday, March 27th at 7:00 PM, and on Saturday, March 28th at 2:00 and 7:00 PM. All performances are held at Hillside Avenue School, 125 Hillside Avenue , and tickets are $8.00 apiece. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time y filling out a form and returning it to the school, located at 125 Hillside Avenue in Cranford. If paying by check, be sure to make it payable to Hillside Avenue School. Tickets will be available at the door for any performances not sold out in advance.
This is a great local experience to share with the whole family. Singing, dancing, children, nuns, a goat. . . . . . the perfect recipe for fun!
