Want to be part of the ultimate win-win situation this holiday season? Here’s a way to give a little something while your child gets a little something. Once again, the Cranford Jaycees, the Cranford Fire Department, and the Cranford Police Department will be running the “Santa Toy Donation and Delivery.”
It’s very simple . . . simply donate one new, unwrapped children’s gift for the Toys For Tots charity, and drop it off along with a present that you have chosen for your own child . . . this one wrapped, and clearly labeled with your child’s name and address. Santa and his elves will travel via fire truck or police car directly to your home, to surprise your child with his or her early Christmas present. If you have ever witnessed the level of excitement of a neighborhood child when Santa Claus shows up at their home, complete with flashing lights and escorted by our friends in uniform, then you know exactly why this tradition is continued each year.
Presents can be dropped off at the Cranford Firehouse at 7 Springfield Avenue on Wednesday, December 11th, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM, and on Saturday, December 14th, from 10:00 – 2:00 PM. Santa and his Cranford police and firefighter helpers will make home deliveries on Tuesday, December 17th, from 6:00–8:00 PM, and on Thursday, December 19th, from 6:00 –8:00 PM.
Donate a toy to a child who might not otherwise get a visit from Santa, and allow your own child the memory of when Santa came to your house to surprise them with a special delivery. Everybody wins!
