The Annual Feast of St. Michael
There’s nothing like the excited feeling of turning the corner in your familiar neighborhood, and coming upon the telltale sights, sounds, and smells of a carnival. To the delight of neighborhood residents of all ages, it’s time, once again, for the annual Feast of St. Michael in Downtown Cranford, NJ! (Valium)
Always an area favorite, and seemingly bigger and better every year, the fun will take place Thursday, September 27th (6;00 – 9:00 PM), Friday, September 28th (6;00 – 10:00 PM), Saturday, September 29th (3:00 – 10:00 PM), and Sunday, September 30th (1:00 – 5:00 PM). As always, there will be tons of fun to be had by everyone. This year brings the promise of new rides, appropriate for every age. There will be raffles, and games, and prizes to be had, and all kinds of entertainment. And, of course, what would a feast be without . . . well . . . the FEAST?! Be sure to come hungry, and leave your calorie counters at home, because many would argue that the food is THE reason to attend. (Look away, just for one weekend, Michelle Obama! The zeppolis are calling!)
This year, advanced ride tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate at Martin Jewelers (12 North Avenue West) and Lifeline Technology (108 Walnut Avenue). The feast itself will take place in the parking lot of St. Michael’s School (at Alden and Holly Streets) Bring everyone, and come enjoy a little slice of Americana!
