Cranford Pool Memberships

The snow is all melted, there might be a bud or two on the otherwise barren trees, and the jackets have gone from puffy to light fleece.  Time for the pool!

Too early, you say?  Not true!  NOW is the time to plan ahead and get yourself registered for what most would say is the best bargain to be had in town – the Cranford Pools.   The pools are gorgeous, well-maintained, and very well utilized.  For many residents, the pool represents their summer stay-cation with friends and neighbors.

There are both seasonal and annual membership opportunities available.  (Annual memberships allow you access to the fitness center, as well as the pools.)  Once a member, you have opportunities for summer swim teams, lap swimming, swimming lessons, aquatic exercise classes, picnic and party bookings, and much more.  And, of course, daily access to clean, well-maintained pools and surrounding fields and grounds, with games and activities for the kids, adult swim times every 15 minutes on the hour, snack bar, (including the world’s best chicken fingers), and a whole summer full of quality hang-out and bonding time for both kids and adults alike.  It is the hub of socialization during the summer months in Cranford!

Registration for residents and annual members began March 3, and remains open while registration for non-residents begins April 1^st.  You don’t even have to leave the comfort of your home to register.  You can securely register the entire family online, at www.cranford.com/pool.  ID cards can be used from one year to the next, so if you already have them and don’t require new ones, this may be a great option for you.  If you prefer to do it in person, then In-Person Registration Hours, then bring your proof of residency, and birth certificates or the kids (birth certificates of children are required unless they were verified as a member during the previous year.  An individual who is 24 years of age or older or will become 24 years of age in the current year cannot be considered as a “child” in this membership. ), at Centennial Avenue Pool (401 Centennial Avenue).  They are open from Monday – Friday  9:00-4:00, Saturday 10:00-2:00, and Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:00-8:30 PM.
