2014 Halloween Painting

 

There’s only one a few days left to register to share your Halloween creativity!

It’s time once again for Cranford’s traditional Halloween window painting. This fun event is open to children in grades 1 through 5.   Cost for registration is $20, with checks made payable to Cranford High School.  Registration forms are also required, and can be acquired by contacting Michelle Cammarata at (908)709-6202 .  Forms and payment can be mailed or dropped off by Tuesday, October 7th to the Cranford Board of Education Superintendent’s Office, at 132 Thomas Street, Cranford.

Registration will be offered to children until Tuesday, October 7th, or  while supplies of both windows and paint last. Window assignments and paint and supplies can be picked up beginning on Monday, October 13th between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:45 PM at the Superintendent’s Office (again,  at 132 Thomas Street). Painting can be done any time during the following hours: Thursday, October 16th from 3:00-6:00 PM, Friday, October 17th from 3:00-6:00 PM, and  Saturday, October 18th from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.

This is a great activity for families, clubs, scout dens, or any group of kids who like the idea of painting on a surface they are not typically allowed to paint on.  It’s such a fun yearly tradition, as is walking or driving through town and smiling as you take note of the genuine child artistry of Halloween scenes on storefront windows.  It just wouldn’t be Halloween in Cranford without it!
