Saturday, December 21st, is a happenin’ holiday celebration day here in Cranford! There’s a whole litany of events planned for that day to help make your spirits bright, thanks to the Rotary Club of Cranford and Two River Bank.
The Christmas fun begins in the morning at Centennial Village, at Lincoln and Centennial Avenue, (next to The Butcher Block deli), where from 10:00 – 12:00 Santa will be available for pictures for $3.00 per child. Snacks and hot chocolate will be provided by the Cranford Jaycees.
Then, from 12:30 – 1:00, Santa will move over to the gazebo at North Union and Springfield Avenues, to continue the $3.00 a pop picture taking. Afterwards, from 1:00 – 4:00, families can ride the Holiday Trolley with Santa. The trolley leaves every 15 minutes, and drives throughout the town of Cranford, while Santa leads everyone in singing some Christmas carols. The trolley can be boarded right near the gazebo, and rides are absolutely free! This is such a great neighborhood tradition! You KNOW it is Christmas time when you see and hear that trolley rolling throughout the streets!
So, if the holiday spirit hasn’t quite hit you yet, this is the perfect opportunity to allow it to do so. I mean, WHO could be unhappy while riding a trolley with Santa? It’s a must-do!
