Books and bagels . . . . two of my favorite B-words!
And now these two great B’s come together. All Cranford residents are invited to “Books & Bagels,” a book chat program that takes place monthly on Saturday mornings from 10:15 to 11:15 AM in the Cranford Public Library. Unlike regular book clubs, there is no assigned reading, and no pressure to finish a book by meting time. Participants are simply asked to bring along a few of their more recent favorite reads, and then tell the other members of the group what they liked about them. That’s it! It’s literally a meeting place for “Read any good books lately?” The books can be new or old, fiction or non-fiction, classic or contemporary, virtually any period or any genre. What a great way to share what you like, and to get some great ideas for future reads! Refreshments are courtesy of the Friends of the Cranford Public Library. Registration is NOT required, walk-ins are more than welcome, and everyone can attend as many or as few sessions as they like. Book club without pressure!!! Upcoming session dates are September 7, October 5, November 2, and December 2, 2013.
A no-pressure book club. . . with bagels! Score!
