Beauty and Makeup Class for Teens at Cranford Rec Center
Hey Moms, do you remember when we were growing up, and we had those plastic female heads to practice hair and make-up on? There was Barbie, there was Cher . . . . but when we were done teasing their hair and spackling on the eye shadow, they pretty much all looked like circus clown refugees or disembodies streetwalkers. Now that many of us have young girls of our own, are you anxious for them to NOT adopt that same look for themselves?
Well, forget giving them any tips. You’re a Mom. What do you know? Clearly they are not going to take beauty or make-up advice from YOU. But maybe they will from the experts.
The Cranford Rec Center is hosting a “Beauty and Makeup Class for Teen Girls” on Monday, January 28th, and again on Thursday, January 31st, at 7:00-8:30 PM, at the Rec Center. Cost is $15 per person, ages 13 and up, and an adult or guardian is welcome to accompany them. Girls will get assistance in finding their personal and APPROPRIATE beauty look. This 90 minute skin care and makeup class will teach them effective makeup techniques that both teens and parents can appreciate. Prepare for those upcoming proms, Sweet 16’s, and Quinceaneras by examining the newest trends in teen fashion, developing a skin care routine for their specific needs, and learn the appropriate way to shop for and apply the newest trends in makeup, as depicted in the latest fashion magazines and shows.
Grab some other know-nothing Moms, and have the girls bring friends to bounce ideas and opinions off of. They’ll NEVER say no to a night of make-up! There IS limited seating, so it is suggested you call ahead to reserve your spot at (908)709-7283, or do so online at https://register.communitypass.net/cranford.
