Attack of the Baseball Cards – Welcoming Those Without Power
So the kids are off from school yet again. Oy. It’s getting a little difficult to keep them entertained, especially if you have no power, and when it is too cold to be playing outside for any length of time. Here’s an idea if you’re looking for something for the kids to do today, and it’s nearby, so won’t take up too much precious gas. Why not bring the kids out to Attack Of The Baseball Cards, at 60 Milltown Road, in Union? According to owner/operator Steve Mandy (and FRIEND!), they have power, and welcome everyone to come charge your phones, and watch the NFL games on their TV. There are plenty of great baseball cards, etc., to keep the kids occupied, and they are offering discounts and free gifts with purchases. Steve describes the business as “the store that knows the difference between “The Iron Man” (Cal Ripken Jr.) and “The Iron Horse” (Lou Gehrig!)” (Glad THEY know the difference . . . .) Attack of the Baseball Cards is now in their 29th year in the hobby business, and Steve’s 51st year as a collector. The business was a runner-up for the 1998 National “Sportscard Hobby Store of the Year Award,” and was named by UPPER DECK the National “Retailer of the Month” in August of 2010. Sports-happy kids in our area are already familiar with the place, and they also welcome scouts and other groups for fun and interesting presentations on collecting.
Attack of the Baseball Cards is located at 60 Milltown Road in nearby Union, and their number is (908)687-8107. Bring the kids out, entertain them, get warm, charge your cell phones, and keep from going crazy! The store will be open Monday through Friday from 11:30 – 7:30.
