Have you ever driven by a home with gorgeous holiday decorations and thought “Those people CLEARLY love where they live”? I certainly have! And every time I drive my sons to Cranford High School, I purposely drive past 3 Berkeley Pl just to see how the house looks! The Byrne family home is known for it’s festive decorations for just about EVERY holiday, and during the Christmas Season, it is even more spectacular!
Angela Byrne acknowledges that her family thinks she is a little bit crazy, but her love of decorating just can’t be contained! The exterior of this charming home is covered with lights and wreaths, and the interior boasts even more to enjoy! While I am toiling away trying to decorate our one Christmas Tree, the Byrnes actually have FOUR trees decorating their home! Can you imagine?? I asked Angela to tell me a little bit about each of the trees she has, and am so thrilled that she is sharing with us!
This gorgeous tree is known as the “Victorian Tree”. It graces the Byrne’s formal dining room, and is the picture of elegance with it’s white lights and gold and white ornaments.
The breakfast room tree is the epitome of fun, and features colored lights and has a candy, cupcake, kitchen theme…. so cute!!
This stunning tree is the largest and most ornate of all of the trees in the home. It is decorated in colored lights and all the ornaments are from places the family has traveled to, ornaments the grandchildren , daughter and other family members have made or given to Angela and James, and old ornaments that were their parents. It is truly spectacular!
This little tree in my kitchen, the only artificial one, is decorated with all hand crochet ornaments. They are very special to me because they were all made by Angela’s mom and my aunt , who are no longer with us. It is so sweet!
And lest you think that Angela limits her holiday decorating frenzy to trees, rest assured that the rest of the house is also decorated to the nines! Check out some of her other lovely scenes, and be sure to do a drive by 3 Berkeley Place in Cranford to see the lovely exterior decorations! And try to get there at Valentine’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, Easter, and other holidays! The “crazy decorating lady” does not disappoint! I just love people like Angela and James Byrne…. the are part of what makes this town so special!
