Drive down any street during late December, and you are likely to see many homes decorated for the holiday season. Drive down John St in Cranford, and you will see an entire neighborhood decked out for the holidays. I spoke with Kristine Strype Muccigrosso to find out more about this extravaganza of lights. “It’s pretty basic really…everyone put lights on their homes, but when we moved to Cranford in 2004, my husband Keith put lights on the curbside trees much like you see in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn. A few of the neighbors liked it and did the same and each year it has grown bigger and more elaborate.” Now, many Cranford residents make a special trip to see the lights on John St. What a great neighborhood tradition!

Another great article by Sharon on one of the many great neighborhoods that helps make Cranford such an outstanding community. The residents of John Street did a wonderful job of making the holiday season a special time for friends and neighbors to enjoy. One trip down the block made grown adults smile with the feeling of the Christmas gone by while children exploded into the joy of Christmas’s still to come. Thank you so much John Street home owners!!!
