Has the patience of a saint…
This review is coming one month too late, but we have just been so busy LOVING our new house that Sharon helped us get!! There is a longer review below, but since most people glimpse through these, I’ll make it short first: Sharon is AMAZING. She’s thorough, she responds immediately to texts, emails, phone calls, and knows what you want or need before YOU even know what you want or need!
She has the patience of a saint, the drive of an Olympian, and she deserves every single 5 star rating here. My husband and I decided to sell our condo and look for a house. We were recommended to her from friends of ours. She helped them win a bidding war so we knew she was going to be great. Sharon was our realtor on the buying end of our real estate journey, unfortunately we lived too far away for her to help us sell as well!
We started looking for a house in February. We had been told, on our selling end, that we needed to have a place to live lined up since we would sell fast. After about a month of looking, we found our dream house. Sharon came straight from Brooklyn to NJ to help us close the deal, all the while letting us know that we are contingent and that it might be an uphill battle to get an offer accepted. We made an offer. It was not accepted due to our contingency. She helped us negotiate another offer, and worked with their agent persistently to get a deal that worked for both parties. Next thing we knew we were under contract! Unfortunately, things weren’t nearly as smooth as we’d been promised on our selling end. We had been told we would sell fast, and unfortunately, that’s not what happened.
Time went by and we kept moving forward with our dream house, knowing that the promises that were made on the back end were falling through. Sharon kept in touch with us at least every other day. She was there when we did our inspection on the house. She was there for us when things kept falling through with our selling.
She was in touch with our other realtor trying to figure out a way to sell our condo to make this house happen, and she was constantly checking in and making sure we were ok. Sometimes we’d tell her we had no news on the selling, and she would say she was just checking in on how we were doing emotionally, since she knew we were going through a tough time and dealing with an extraordinary amount of unprofessionalism on our selling end.
Meanwhile our contract on our dream house ended and it had been taken off the market. Many (stressful!) months later in June, an offer came! We immediately called her and she jumped right back on the house hunt with us. She mentioned to us that we should contact our lawyer to see what the status is of our first house. They recommended we make another offer. We re-submitted our offer to the first house “just in case” while deciding whether to make an offer on a fixer-upper that she had found for us. 24 hours later, we received an email – our offer was accepted!! It turns out that the entire time that my husband and I had given up on the house, she was constantly in touch with their realtor and was working out a possible future negotiation that we could use once we sold.
While she was making sure we were ok and getting through the selling process alive, she was persistent and going through all of this trouble just to see if we could still get our dream home. We’ve been in our house for a month now.
The champagne that she gave us has long been gone, but every time we come home we are so thankful to have worked with her. She deserves all the wonderful reviews here!
