So there’s soc-iology . There’s anthrop-ology. There’s bi-ology. There’s even macro-biology. And now there’s Sub-Ology.
Downtown Cranford welcomed a new business to 17 North Avenue East just a few weeks ago, when Sub-Ology, a specialty sandwich shop, opened its doors, and is already serving repeat customers. Paul Robicheau, the owner, comes by the business honestly, as his grandfather owned a Stewart’s stand, his cousins also own food establishments, and his girlfriend, Meaghan, has also been involved in the restaurant business helped collaborate with Paul for the Sub-ology menu.
The store serves high quality Boar’s Head cold cuts, and even uses the town’s local Breadsmith for their bread. Locals working with locals! They offers 8 and 16 inch subs, paninis, salads, veggie wraps, and homemade soups and salads. Meaghan is responsible for coming up with many of the healthier items on the menu, such as the great selection of salads. And in addition to the many traditional sub sandwich choices, there are also some specialties, such as a pulled pork panini, an apple walnut salad, a spinach wrap, and even a hummus platter. YUM!!!! Got kids? How about kid-friendly sandwiches like traditional grilled cheese, or not-so-traditional and Nutella and banana? There are also milkshakes, smoothies, and daily specials.
The store is open 7 days a week, and stays open until 10:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Since it is conveniently located right near the Digiplex Cranford Movie Theater, that makes it the perfect place to get a bite to eat when your movie lets out.
Paul fell in love with the family-friendly nature of Cranford, which he discovered through Meaghan. The perfect location plus the perfect menu hopefully equals success!
It’s too hot to cook, anyway. Why not try a bite at one of Cranford’s newest businesses?
