Who doesn’t love a good Auction Night?
On Saturday, February 1st, at 6:30 PM, the annual St. Michael’s/Raphael’s Life House goods and services auction will be held in the St. Michael’s gym at 40 Alden Street in Cranford. Tickets are $25 in advance, or $30 at the door. Items to be auctioned include jewelry, household goods, trips, gift certificates, event tickets, and so much more! There’s also a 50/50. Raphael’s Life House, located at 231 Court Street in Elizabeth, is a transitional residence for women who are homeless and pregnant. It provides these women with a place to rebuild their lives and give their children a positive start in life. Women between the ages of 18 – 23 are welcomed, regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, or economic status. They are offered services including classes on prenatal care and parenting, educational and vocational training, and life skills programs from budgeting to building self-esteem, in order to better embark upon their new lives with their families.
