The Cranford Canoe Club is a town treasure

When I introduce our town to newcomers, they are always struck by the hometown feel it gives them. They mention an appreciation for a community that seems to preserve its simpler past while preparing for its future. Cranford draws people in. Also drawn to our town is artist Lloyd Garrison. His depiction of the Cranford Canoe Club captures the simplicity of our town felt by many.

Lloyd Garrison’s realistic painting style

Lloyd is a Rahway native, primarily self-taught and became interested in creating at a young age. An artist his entire life, Lloyd is well known for his holiday-themed work, yet his portfolio includes murals, a series of Christmas plates, oil paintings, and even commercial advertising campaigns.
