The Barber’s Conundrum and Other Stories – Observations On Life From The Cheap Seats
A huge congratulations from our community to one of our own!! John Hartnett is enjoying the success of his recently published book, The Barber’s Conundrum and Other Stories – Observations On Life From The Cheap Seats . John Hartnett is a native of Cranford, where he lives with his wife and three children. He established “Early Bird Publishing” in 2003, and featured a line of humorous greeting cards that he wrote, designed, and distributed to stores across the country. In December of 2012, “The Barber’s Conundrum . . . “was the first full title Hartnett wrote and published.
The book description reads, “The Barber’s Conundrum and Other Stories is more than just a collection of thirty-seven short literary humor pieces that will make you laugh. It provides a treasure trove of tips and invaluable advice to help you navigate safely through marriage and relationships, raising kids and to finally understand the more peculiar aspects of day to day living that up until now, had been tossed into a big heap as just another one of God’s mysteries.”
And I love that when you search for this book on Amazon, in the area designated as “Customers Who Viewed This Title Also Liked . . . ,” there is The Onion Book of Known Knowledge, (those of you who follow and read The Onion know just how funny it is), and a banana slicer. Yup. A banana slicer. The fact that these things could be in any way connected makes me want to dive into this book immediately.
We can all use a little out-loud laughter, can’t we? Sounds like this might be just the ticket! The secrets of the universe . . . . all discovered right here in Cranford. Who knew?

Sharon…thank you for posting this. John’s book is hilarious! Anyone who has ever been involved with youth soccer will love his first story. John did a great job finding the humor in our daily experiences. I cannot recommend this book strongly enough.
