Hayrides and Family Fun at Trailside

            Nothing says “Autumn” more than a hayride and a campfire!  The Union County Board of  Chosen Freeholders is sponsoring just that for all to enjoy, nearby at Trailside Nature andScience Center in Mountainside.  Cuddle up, bundle up, and bounce around on the back of the hay truck!

            There’s plenty of opportunities to take the family on an outing and enjoy this Fall fun.  Hayrides begin at 6:30 every Friday evening from Sept 21st – Oct. 19th, and at 3:30 PM on Sunday, Oct. 14^th.  While tickets can’t be purchased AT the hayride, they can be purchased in advance at the Trailside Center in Mountainside, the Union County Administration Building in Elizabeth, or at the Union County Services Building in Westfield.  At $5.00 for county residents, ($10.00 for non-residents), it’s a memory-making bargain!  Plus, it’s something different and exciting to do with the kiddies.  The rides do fill up, so get tickets early, call Trailside at (908)789-3670, or check out the county website at www.ucnj,org for more information.

            Oh, did I mention the hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows around the campfire, accompanied by folk songs, following the hayride?  All included in your night of Fall festivitities!  Go out and enjoy some Fall Family Fun!!!!  (Too much?  How about “Autumnal Awesomeness?!”)
