If the dads in your life are into cars, then I have a great Father’s Day outing for you: the 6th Annual Charity Car and Motorcycle Show in downtown Mountainside.

On Sunday, June 21, from noon to 6 pm, Mountain Avenue near New Providence Road will be transformed into a car show featuring classic beauties from every decade. If your family has a car motorcycle to show off, you can register to be in the show for $20 (or $15 if you register by June 10).

Even the kids can get in on the fun and showcase their bikes and ride-on vehicles for a prize! Trophies for all categories will be awarded at 3:30 pm.

In addition to the car show there will be live music from one of NJ’s favorite cover bands (The Nerds), plus a DJ, family games and prizes, great food and refreshments, and rumor has it–a dunk tank. Who doesn’t love drenching a local quasi-celebrity in freezing water?

The cost to attend is $5 per person or $20 per family of five; children under 5 are free. The event is sponsored by the Mountainside Police Athletic League. All proceeds benefit local charities!
