Autumn is the PERFECT time for a run . . . . or a walk. The air is crisp, not too oppressively hot, and the view of colorful trees is nothing short of dazzling.
So why not come out and enjoy the great outdoors while helping out some Cranford schools? Consider participating in the 2nd Annual BAS/OAS Fall 5k and 1 mi Fun Run. All proceeds benefit the PTA’s of both Bloomingdale and Orange Avenue Schools.
This 5k run is a nice route that begins and ends at Bloomingdale Ave. School, and passes by Orange Ave School. It’s a very pleasant route along beautifully tree-lined streets and paths. All participants who pre-register will receive a custom t-shirt. There will be a DJ offering music and entertainment, as well as post-race food and refreshments. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group, but the fun is in the run!
The event will take place on Sunday, November 3rd, beginning at Bloomingdale Avenue School at 200 Bloomingdale Avenue in Cranford. Late registration will begin at 7:00 AM, the 1 Mile Fun Run will begin at 8:00 AM, and the 5K at 8:30. To pre-register, and assure yourself a t-shirt, visit BestRace.com/Bloomingdale5K. The cost is $25.00 to participate in the 5K, and $15.00 for the Fun Run. (There is also a $3.25 online sign-up fee.)
Get in a little exercise, enjoy the crisp Autumn air and the beautiful view, and help out some local schools!
